Gretchen and her siblings were rescued from a 30+ dog hoarding case in North Texas

Gretchen is a gorgeous sable girl who unfortunately is also deaf. However, her deafness has not prevented her from being loving and sweet and one of the fastest of these pups to acclimate to being around people. She loves to get scratched and has figured out that sleeping on the bed is the best things ever. Gretchen is also great with other pups, and has discovered her love of herding her sister, Sistene.

Gretchen does get anxious being left alone in a crate (probably partially due to her deafness and not wanting to be isolated) and can break out of a wire one, but does settle down better with a reinforced/secure crate and also when she's left with other dogs. She is working on leash training, but is house-trained and knows how to use the doggy door. She is also very smart and quick to learn hand cues.
